The set-through maple/mahogany neck boasts a scalloped heel for easier access to the upper register and has been shaped in to an extra thin profile for high velocity soloing. A bound rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets will facilitate effortless string bending and take you far beyond the tonal possibilities of traditional single-cutaway guitars. The Charvel DS-1ST is equipped with dual Seymour Duncan Blackout active humbucking pickups with three-way toggle switching. The simplified controls feature individual volume and tone controls for each pickup and a 3-way pickup selector switch. Rounding out the Black Nickel hardware is a rigid Charvel bridge specially designed for compound-radius fingerboards with an accompanying stopbar tailpiece to maximize tuning stability and will withstand even the most aggressive soloing. Available in solid and trans finishes (flame maple veneer on trans finishes) with matching headstocks.
