Like all liquid chalk products, Wonder Chalk is designed to be used on non-porous surfaces and works great on mirrors, metal, whiteboards, windows, sealed ceramics, black vinyl & chalkboard contact paper and hard plastic blackboards.

If water doesn't bead on the surface you may have a porous surface. Chalkboard painted walls and surfaces should be sealed with a single coat of matte (low shine) finish varnish or polyurethane. This allows you to use regular chalk or liquid chalk markers without staining. The same goes for slate-based chalkboards. For tough-to-clean surfaces use white magic cleaning sponges or glass cleaner. You should ALWAYS test Wonder Chalk in a small area first to make sure it will wipe off.
