Caught (The Detective Series Book 4)
Caught is the fourth and final book of the Detective Series.
Private investigator Cornelia Osgood, Oz to most, has finally realized that there is one woman for her: Abby O'Leary. And when Abby returns to Everton, Oz expects her to fall right into her arms but then... she doesn't. Abby's back--that's for sure. But back with a girlfriend who she says she has no intention of leaving for the likes of Oz.
While Oz tries to figure out how to convince Abby that she's changed her philandering, commitment-phobic ways, she's hired by Mrs. Cynthia Byrd to find out who has stolen the Byrd copy of Shakespeare's First Folio--a book worth six million dollars or more. On the down side, Mrs. Byrd doesn't know exactly when the folio was stolen, but on the plus side, the list of suspects is short: Lionel Wells, the rare books dealer who sold the folio to Mrs. Byrd's husband; Professor Eleanor Heath, the professor who Mrs. Byrd hired to catalog the folio; William Gallagher, Mrs. Byrd's assistant; and Jennifer Lane, her great-great neice.
Oz pursues the four suspects as she tries to figure out her personal life. She's got to get Abby back, decide if she wants to continue her business partnership with Adam Erase, do what's best for her baby niece, Sienna, and keep her mother off her back.
It's a tall order, but if anyone is up for the task, it's Cornelia Osgood in this novel, the fourth and final book of the Detective Series.
