Castle Creations introduction of the Mamba Monster was a break-through moment for R/C modelers wanting to experience what seemed to be unobtainable. Brute power and sheer stamina have made this our legacy “power up” for popular 1/8th scale buggies, truggies and onroad vehicles and 1/10th scale monster trucks (vehicle weight limits apply). The current version we call Mamba Monster 2. The ESC is now waterproof (not intended for operation while completely submerged in liquid) , allowing users to run their vehicles through the morning dew, across the soggy snow or just about anywhere else you’d be interested in running a 1/8th scale RC buggy or truck. We’ve updated the case, allowing users easy access to fan changes, if necessary (removing the fan is required when driving in wet conditions, it is not waterproof). Monster V2 solder posts now permit users to change battery wire length and direction as needed. Of course this Monster offers industry-leading software functions and USB programming capability via Castle Link USB adapter (free with included coupon), allowing users to tweak all their favorite settings such as brake /throttle curves, throttle response, drag brake and many other parameters that add up to an incredible RC driving experience. This package combines the ESC with a 1515-2200kv motor, a powerful duo that is optimized for the ultimate driving experience. This motor was designed with efficiency in mind and features high quality oversized bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets, superior electromagnetic design, and rigorous quality control, resulting in a Monster motor we can put our name on. The 1515-2200kv motor is 75mm long and intended for up to 6S (25.2 Volt) operation and is incredible in 1:10th scale monster trucks with up to 6S LiPo packs (4S LiPo is the sweet spot), and works great in 1/8th buggies, truggies and onroad as well (vehicle weight limit is 15 lbs or less, with batteries and ready to run).
