Carson now offers our 40x-400x beginner compound microscope in a bundled package with our Universal Smartphone Optics Digiscoping Adapter allowing users to take images and videos with their smartphone through the microscope and a variety of other optics! The 40x-400x table-top compound microscope is a beginner level biological microscope that is ideal for a student or family. The microscope has a metal body and a monocular head that sits at a 45 degree angle for comfortable viewing. The monocular head also rotates to 360 degrees for easy sharing of the specimen view. Illumination is provided by two bright white LED sources (transmission and reflection) which allow viewing of a wide range of transparent to opaque specimens. The microscope features a filter wheel with 5 color options. The included AC power adaptor (AC 110V-240V, 50-60Hz) allows for use internationally without the need for a voltage transformer. The Universal Smart Phone Optics Adapter allows users to connect a multitude of optics to their smartphones and then use their built in camera apps to take amazing pictures and videos. Use the universal adapter to connect your phone to binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, microscopes (including slit lamps), monoculars, borescopes and so much more! In regards to connecting your universal adapter to optical devices, the Universal adapter fits onto optical eyepieces with an outer housing diameter between 20mm-58mm (0.8 inch - 2.25 inch) and a depth of at least 14mm (0.6 inch). Your optical eyepiece can be straight or slightly tapered but please note that complex shaped eyepieces may not work. The universal adapter is compatible with 99% of smartphones in the marketplace and can be used with or without a case. The universal adapter features two point locking levers for phone alignment and also a releasable phone clamp that allows users to install and remove their phones quickly. Eyepieces held in the device are automatically centered, so only one initial phone alignment is needed, before you can quickly connect your phone to any optic. The universal adapter IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH RIFLESCOPES AND PHABLETS. It also features glow in the dark rubber parts to increase visibility in low light situations.
