Carl Larsson 2012 Calendar (Wall Calendar)
Carl Larsson (Swedish, 1853-1919) studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Art, worked as an illustrator, lived in Paris, and then moved to an artists, colony, where he met his future wife and underwent an artistic transformation, exchanging oils for watercolors. In the 1880s Larsson moved his young family to a small house in Sundborn, Sweden. From then on, family life became his main motif. The fourteen paintings in this calendar—Snow, Schoolwork, Lisbeth with Peonies, Breakfast in the Open, Kersti's Birthday, Late Summer, The Chess Game, Christmas Morning, and six more—depict the Larssons’ lively, happy household.
