Campagnolo Super Record 11 Front Derailleur
As you no doubt have noticed, Campagnolo has adorned their Super Record 11 gruppo with new graphics. A casual glance might trick you into believing that the graphics are all they changed; after all, front derailleurs hardly change, ever. Not true. This Campagnolo Super Record 11 Front Derailleur is different than the 2010 and earlier iterations in a small, yet significant way. Yes, the cages are the same, carbon-outer, aluminum inner, compatible with both compact (110mm bolt circle diameter) and standard (130 and 135mm bcd) chainrings, but the cable pull routing has been changed. The cable now runs in a more direct line from the bottom bracket shell to the pinch bolt. On the last version, you'd bend the cable around the pinch bolt before cinching it. The cable no longer needs to be bent. This speeds up the shifting. Campy front shifting was always fast and easy, but this adds some blazing to the action. And remember that it's designed for 11-speed cranks, chains, and Ultra-Shift ergopower levers, not 10-speed.The Campagnolo Super Record 11 Front Derailleur can be had in three different ways -- braze-on, 32mm clamp, and 35mm clamp. It can handle a maximum 54 tooth chainring and a maximum large/small ring differential of 16 teeth. The clamp and pivot are Black, the outer cage is Carbon-Fiber, the inner is Brushed Aluminum.
