Buttman Cheek to Cheek
It's involuntary. If we see a woman from behind and if somehow the curves of her bottom are revealed to us, either through tightness of clothing or lack thereof, we respond. It s involuntary, programmed by evolution. Do the curves of this derriere indicate to us that this woman is good at making babies? Don t try to judge your response or change it; you can't, it's part of you, it s in your genes. You may choose to look away, but nature tied this response into our pleasure center, so if you can keep looking, why not? This book is an homage to the beauty of the female derriere. It is a surrender to the power of the female body to drive us to create art. We strive to find the most idealized expression of this image, something we have to do for hours on end, studying every nuance of every curve and seeing how well that gets us off... These are the covers to my hard-core magazine, Buttman. Picking the cover has been the most fun part of doing this magazine. Through the years we have had only one art director, Xtian. We pick the photo together, then he creates the look of the cover. His work has made us all proud to show off our magazine, and especially the covers. Also included are some pictures from inside the magazine that I felt deserved to have another expression in the world. Some of them were considered to be covers, but were surpassed by other pictures. In retrospect now, I think some of these should have been the covers. But really this book is all about the beauty and charm of the women who posed for these pictures. They bring a sense of how to tease, of how to accent their derrieres in a way that we will notice, in a way that drives us to capture the moment.
