These frames are made of metal and built to hold up to 2,400 lbs. If you would like to connect this frame to a headboard or footboard you must also purchase the adapter. There are two adapters per package. If you want to connect this frame to just a headboard you need one package of adapters. If you want to connect it to a headboard and footboard, you will need to purchase two adapter packages. This frame will only connect to many headboard or footboards that connect via screws.
