British Post World War II Military Campaigns: The Early Years - Square Bashing
The Early Years - Square Bashing
This book is a short introduction on the background of Mark “Mac†Hudson, who went on to achieve senior rank in British Special Operations groups and experience an amazing, yet bizarre military career, which spanned several decades and was held in many theatres of operation around the world.
As an elite soldier, the author cannot disclose full details of the more clandestine expeditions as certain techniques are still in use by British Special Forces today. Nevertheless, he carried out his operations so successfully that terrorist organisations in Cyprus and South Arabia put contracts out on his head more than 40 years ago that remain in place today.
In this first short volume of a series of four books we get to know hero Mark "Mac" Hudson's rather idiosyncratic drill instructor Squeaky Boots Jordan, plus an insight into the life of a young British military family during the 1950s.
Note: Although part of a series, the books in British Post World War II Military Campaigns can be read as standalone books and do not require that you are familiar with the other works of the series to enjoy the content.
