This Brennan 6400-O-SS series adapter tube fitting is made of stainless steel 316, has a male JIC tube connection and a straight threaded male connection with an O-ring boss seal, and is suitable for use in high-pressure fuel delivery and fluid power applications. It is made of stainless steel 316 for higher strength and greater corrosion resistance than stainless steel 304 and has a maximum operating temperature range of -425 to +1,200 degrees F. This adapter tube fitting connects two tubes of different end types. It has a male Joint Industry Council (JIC) tube connection on one end for connecting to a flared tube, and a straight threaded male connection with an O-ring boss seal on the other for connecting to a female straight threaded tube. The O-ring boss seal provides a leak resistant seal when the nut is tightened over the tube. This JIC fitting is a type of flare fitting machined with a 37-degree flare seating surface, as defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J514 standards. This adapter tube fitting is suitable for use in instrumentation, process, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and other tubing system applications.
