Brass Pipe Fitting, Class 125, Reducing Tee, 3/4" x 1/2" x 3/4" NPT Female
This class 125 reducing tee is a brass t-shaped pipe fitting with female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on the run and branches for connecting and branching three pieces of male pipe or fittings. Pipe dimensions for tees are represented as A x B x C. “A†and “B†indicate the main run on the fitting, and “C†indicates the branch. This fitting has female NPT threads on all three ends for creating tighter seals to male pipes than straight threads. The class 125 reducing tee is made from brass, which is more economical, machinable, and offers greater corrosion resistance than steel. Class is a standard relating to tolerance, construction, dimension, and wall thickness, but it is not a direct measurement of maximum working pressure. This fitting meets standards ANSI/ASME B16.15, ASME B1.20.1, ASTM B584, and ALLOY C83600 for quality assurance.
Pipe dimensions for tees are represented as A x B x C. On a reducing tee, “A†is the pipe end on the left, “B†is at the top or middle end, and “C†is at the end on the right.Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
