BocaRude: Life and Times of a Tennis-Playing Housewife
Boca Raton tennis-playing housewife, Josie Fleming has it all: a handsome, successful lawyer for a husband; life in a tropical paradise; and a glamorous social calendar worth envying. Josie takes her privileged life for granted until it suddenly comes crashing down, leaving her blindsided and feeling numb.
Josie€s husband leaves her for a younger blonde bombshell. Still hopelessly in love with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Josie spirals into deep despair. Temporarily losing the will to navigate through life€s daily routines, she takes quiet refuge in her home, shutting the blinds and the world out.
Using compassion, a wry wit, and tennis, Josie€s older brother and her quirky band of friends bring her back to a simpler time: one in which she rediscovers her old self. However, Josie€s meddling archenemy, socialite Monica Mooney, constantly thwarts their efforts, coolly calculating to bring Josie down as many humiliating notches as possible.
Josie and Monica duke it out on the scenic courts across South Florida until Josie learns to stand up for herself. In doing so, she learns what truly matters most. Inspired, she finds hope and pursues deep-rooted truths to help reclaim her life. Along the way, she discovers what she€s made of and something even more life-altering.
