Her magic blocked, the girl is thrown to her death, but narrowly escapes using the last of her magical power.
On the run with only her friend Kel€lor, a gargoyle, to protect her and stripped of her magic. Cheleya flees to the south and the lands of men looking for a cure to the curse on the dragoness. Pursued by agents of her betrayer, the two fight werewolves and killer shrikes looking for help.
