Balboa UV Ozonator, model 59024, uses UV lamp with Plasma Cell that yields higher, consistent ozone levels using 1/3 the energy of conventional UV generators. Basically less energy consumption with cool running design. In addition, the SmartStart solid-state electronic ballast eliminates start-up flicker, sputter, electronic noise and GFCI tripping. If you are adding this to a spa that is not ozone ready, you'll also need to buy either an ozone saddle clamp or an ozone inline bypass kit for ozone injection. For spas that have a small circulation pump installed with 3/4 inch or 1/2 inch tube, you can install an ozone venturi injector. NOTE: Ozonators are for outdoor use only.
