Bach: Cantatas, Vol. 28 - For Ascension Day

The ambitious Bach Cantata Pilgrimage recording project is finally truly complete! The Ascension Cantatas were left unrecorded in 2000 due to noise issues, but were revisted in a 2012 live recording at St. Giles Cripplegate after hundreds of donors worldwide helped to fund the concerts. This recording features one of the original Pilgrimage soloists, bass Dietrich Henschel, alongside a new generation of Bach interpreters-- making this an incredible bridge between a tradition begun 13 years ago and today.
