BRCA1, phosphorylated (Ser1524) (Breast Cancer Type 1 Susceptibility Protein, RING Finger Protein 53, RNF53), B2709-01-50ug

BRCA1 contains at least two nuclear localization signals and is proposed to be a tumor suppressor protein. It is a serine phosphoprotein that undergoes hyper-phosphorylation during late G1-and S-phases of the cell cycle and is transiently dephosphorylated early after M-phase.1 BRCA1 protein alters in a qualitative and quantitative manner during cell cycle progression.1 The amount of BRCA1 protein is highest during S-phase and remains elevated toward G2/M, before it declines in early G1-phase.1 Inherited loss of BRCA1 function confers an increased susceptibility for both breast and ovarian cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
