BJC Mini SDI Cable Made with Belden 1855A (2 Foot, BNC to Right-Angle DIN 1.0/2.3, Black)
2 foot Black 3G/6G HD SDI Cable, Male Right-Angle DIN to Male BNC, Blue Jeans Cable brand, assembled in USA
This cable is designed for use with cameras and other video gear that use DIN 1.0/2.3 connectors. The right-angle DIN connector, made by White Sands Engineering, is ideal for situations -- as with some cameras -- where it's inconvenient to have the cable sticking straight out of the jack. The cable stock used is Belden 1855A, the miniature-59 member of Belden's "Brilliance" broadcast coaxial cable line. 1855A is sweep-tested to 4.5 GHz, providing ample bandwidth for any SDI signal from standard-def to 6G. The male BNC, from Canare, is a durable three-piece crimp design with excellent strength and impedance characteristics.
Other configurations:
This cable is male DIN to male BNC, but we also produce a male DIN/female BNC version which is handier for use if you're using the cable as a pigtail adapter to go into a standard BNC-terminated SDI cable. If that's what you need, enter this product ID in the search box above: B00IPOVLTW.
Blue Jeans Cable: Professional Precision Cable Assembly
Our cables are assembled in our Seattle workshop by American workers, using the highest quality precision stripping and crimping equipment. Coax is stripped with precise dimensional control in our Swiss-made Schleuniger coaxial cable strippers, resulting in a shield braid undamaged by stripping and a center conductor of consistent maximum length for full engagement in the BNC pin crimp or connector body. Our crimping is done on Schleuniger 3-ton pneumatic presses--not on hand tools that can loosen and result in a weak crimp. The result is a cable which is not only superb in its electrical performance, but is physically robust and stable and will endure frequent handling and flexing.
