Anatomology Caffeine Micrograph Small Oval Pendant Necklace
Our 18mm by 13mm oval pendant showcases a micrograph of a behavior altering chemical taken at the University of Florida. The chemical is crystallized through a process of evaporation, then it is magnified approximately 600 times and then photographed through a polarized light microscope. This process is able to catch light refraction so that you are seeing a similar stimulus as to what you see when the light hits a soap bubble or the beautiful color produced by an oil slick on the pavement after a rain storm. The bezel is sterling silver and it hangs from an 18" fine sterling chain. It is the perfect way to add a bit of color to the common business attire. All necklaces come in a signature black and silver metal box with a card that gives background information on the photographed chemical and a second card that describes the microscopic photography process. This line makes a great gift for that person who can appreciate the beautiful crossroad between art and science.
