Alkali scientific's microcentrifuge tubes are 100 percent polypropylene and sterile. These tubes feature clear appearance and a smooth surface making them naturally low-retention. The caps on our Microcentrifuge Tubes are slightly larger than most brands with a rounded underside making them "thumb friendly". These microcentrifuge tube seal securely and are able to with stand boiling and freezing environments. We tested these tubes ourselves and boiled them at 100 degree C for over 10 minutes filled up to the 15 milliliter mark and they didn't pop. Centrifugal speed: 16,000 x g. Can withstand boiling up to 121 degree and freezing down to -80 degree. Larger rounded lid for easy opening/closing. 'Snaps' into place for fool-proof secure seal.
