* The hub must be powered by BOTH the power adapter and the PC/laptop (turned on).
* This hub is not designed to serve as a standalone charger and will not charge an iPad tablet or any other device with non-standard charge requirements.

PLEASE NOTE
Mac OS X has a number of issues with USB 3.0 hubs. Until these are fully resolved with hub firmware and Mac OS X updates, we recommend against using USB 3.0 hubs with a Mac.
2.4Ghz wireless devices, such as wireless keyboard and mouse adapters, may not work in close proximity to USB 3.0 devices or hubs. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port is recommended.
Some USB 3.0 devices require a direct connection to host USB 3.0 ports, including some USB 3.0 hard disks.
