Aio
2010 release, the fourth studio album from the Folk Metal quartet. Featuring 14 brand new tracks, each one delivered in their native Estonian (and all the more exciting for that!), Äio was conceived in a small farmstead in Hargia, South Estonia; according to the band, this isolated location imbued the music - which marries traditional Folk influences and instrumentation to a more conventional Rock attack - with a primal, earthy quality that could never have been achieved in big city surrounds. This epic hybrid style can be heard to particularly good effect on lead track 'Vaid Vaprust' ('Only Bravery'). Spinefarm.
