Afghan Marine: Battling the Taliban and the Heat
An American version of the best selling book Apache Wrath also by Steve Stone. Jeremy Johnson turned his back on architecture and decided to pursue a more adventurous and at times dangerous career with the US Marines commanding a platoon into battle in Afghanistan. After one tour in Afghanistan, he decides to change course and ends up flying the Apache helicopter back into battle to provide close air support to his fellow soldiers on the ground. Afghan Marine follows the war on the ground and in the air with some fast paced action. Where high technology combines with the skill and tenacity of the allied soldiers fighting the heat, dust and constant threat of IEDs in a hostile country.
