AR Drone 1.0 & 2.0 Upgrade Tool Kit
For AR Drone 1.0 and 2.0 owners who spend a lot of time repairing and modifying their drones, the upgrade tool kit is a major improvement to the stock yellow Parrot repair kit.
The AR Drone 2.0 Upgrade Tool Kit has many more uses than the standard yellow tool kit, which is only useful for performing repairs with stock Parrot parts. The Upgrade Tool Kit can be used for every repair possible with the standard tool kit, but also for upgrades & modifications that can't be performed with the yellow kit -- including upgrading bearings, adjusting the angle on a front camera swivel, attaching a 60clip to a 60beat, and many other upgrades with video tu0torials that can be found on Youtube.
The Upgrade Tool Kit also has a more comfortable rubber grip and stronger magnet tips, something you'll want when dealing with dozens of tiny screws and c-clips inside the drone during repairs & mods, you don't want to lose screws when they fall inside the drone.
Step-by-step video tutorials can be found on Youtube that utilize the Upgrade Tool Kit, including how to reduce weight 10%, upgrade the central cross, upgrade bearings, upgrade gears, balance propellers, and more -- just Google search "AR Drone Upgrade Tool Kit" or "AR Drone Episodes."
Most commonly used bits: Use 3.0 bit for easiest c-clip work. Use PH1 bit for standard phillips head drone screws. Use T6 bit for large drone hex screws. Use PH0 bit for all upgrade Sports Cross screws. Use T5 bit for removing bushings and bearings. Use PH2 bit to attach 60clip phone mount to 60beat gamepad. Use 3.0 bit to adjust camera swivel angle. Several smaller and larger bits are useful for removing screws that have become stripped and are difficult to unscrew. All these uses can be seen on AR Drone Show tutorials on Youtube.
