This Montreal band has toured with the likes of Modest Mouse and The Arcade Fire, played last year's All Tomorrow's Parties festival in California, self-released two limited edition EPs, and had a song (a cover of Frog Eyes' "Claxxon's Lament") on "The Believer" magazine's recent covers comp. Time magazine picked "Apologies..." as one of "Canada's Most Anticipated Indie Albums Of The Year." Reminiscent of The Shins, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and Hot Hot Heat, Wolf Parade has that Indie punch in all their songs: There are cheery keyboard effects, eight-note guitar solos and brittle voices.
