Not illustrated. 1881 Excerpt: ...Sewer up to the 3 st December 1880. OUTFALL SEWER. Contractors--Messrs. Sir T. Thompson & Co. The double-barrel concrete sewer commencing on the west side of the public road at Love Grove, near the proposed site of the new pumping station, is carried above high-water mark along the western slope of Worli Hill to an outlet well from which the two parallel 36 inch iron pipes run direct into the sea. From the outlet well the double pipes were laid in position to a distance of 510 feet, or 150 feet beyond the line of low-water neaps. The concrete about the pipes was completed to a distance of 350 feet from the outlet well, and half finished to a further distance of 130 feet.
