A Year at Collingwood’s
Collingwood’s is a small but expensive private school for girls located in the south of England. The Headmistress interviews for a new deputy and appoints the dynamic Pamela Jameson to the post - an elegant 30 year old who has a firm belief in the benefits of corporal punishment - plus considerable experience and expertise in administering discipline to recalcitrant pupils. She is the proverbial new broom and under her regime, the former lax standards of discipline at Collingwood's are replaced by appropriate punishments. Various members of the sixth form get into all sorts of trouble including drinking, smoking and clubbing and invariably end up touching their toes or bending over Miss Jameson's desk for a paddling or a caning. Yet in spite of this (or maybe because of it?), the girls think Miss Jameson is absolutely smashing!
