A Lot Of Love (Expanded Edition)
A LOT OF LOVE was the fifth Capitol album from MELBA MOORE and the most successful long-player of her forty-five year career.
Melba entered the studio to cut A Lot Of Love in 1986. An army of Grade A writers & producers were hired for this effort Kashif, Paul Lawrence, Gene McFadden, Vaneese Thomas, Howard King and Rahni P. Harris.
Collectively, this team created an album that covered one theme love & romance.
In addition, unlike her other dance-driven and the rock-flavored albums, ballads were the focus on A Lot Of Love with only three up-tempo songs in the bunch (ten songs total).
Musically, R&B with a touch of jazz was the chosen flavor throughout the disc.
A Lot Of Love gave proof that love & romance always has a place in our hearts and Melba brought out that love through the songs as well as her performances.
The bright, up-tempo horn-driven There I Go Falling In Love Again kicked off the album.
Then, surprisingly, the album s first ballad It s Been So Long is track number two mid-tempo and steady with Melba s sultry vocals.
