900mW 16X 405nm BDR-209 Blu-Ray Diode In Copper Module W/Leads
Listing is for a single 900mW 16X 405nm BDR-209 Blu-Ray Diode in a standard 12mm copper module with leads attached. This is the most powerful 405 diode available. The copper module upgrade provides a huge improvement in thermal conductivity over the standard brass module for moving the heat away from the diode to your heatsink which gives a much more stable output from the diode. When driven @ 600mA using a proper laser driver you can expect 900mW+ with a G-2 lens and 650mW+ with a three element 405 AR coated glass lens but the diodes. Efficiency will vary a little and I have seen some hit as high as 1.1W with a G-2. The best lens options are the Aixiz 405/445 Glass Lens or the more powerful 405 G-2 Lens. The current must be limited to no more than 700mA to the diode but suggest 600mA for best life expectancy. Don't attempt to connect directly to a battery or other power soruce. A laser driver must be used to drive the diode. I do offer a boost laser driver that is capable of driving this diode off a single Li-Ion see my other offerings. All modules are tested and are in working condition prior to shipping. The diodes are professionally extracted from replacement sleds for the BDR-209 Blu Ray Disk Burners so the pins will be a few mm shorter than a diode direct from the manufacturer and will have some tinning on them. Please Note this is a standard copper module which comes with an acrylic lens in it. It can not handle the power this unit can put out. It will keep dust and contaminates out of the module until you are ready to put yours in. Replace with your glass lens of choice before powering the module. The best options are the Aixiz 405/445 Glass Lens or the more powerful 405 G-2 Lens. Save yourself the headache of extracting, pressing and soldering on your diode.
