The tungsten carbide ring has inlays of Synthetic precious opal that show a play of colors dark blue. This inlay has a "similar look" to black opal from Australia. Our Man Made (Synthetic) Precious opal is made in Japan by Kyocera and many people say its beauty matches the beauty of natural precious opal. Kyocera opal (Kyoto Opal) is impregnated in a resin that makes the opal often much more durable than naturally occurring opal.
