50A MPPT Solar Charge Controller Max PV Input 150VDC- LCD Display- 12V/24V Auto
MPPT circuit solar controllers are considerably more elaborate than PWM. The Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) circuit is based around a synchronous buck converter circuit. The voltage of the solar panel changes with time of day and temperature. It steps the higher solar panel voltage down to the charging voltage of the battery. Odyssey MPPT tries to maximize the watts input from the solar panel by controlling the duty cycle to keep the solar panel operating at its Maximum Power Point. This means good MPPT solar charge controllers can reduce the number of solar panels needed by up to 30%, a tremendous benefit.
Wire Terminals Cross Section [4 mm2 ]
Working temperature -35 to +125 F
NOTE: MPPT requires that two or more Solar panels must be connected in series than parallel to charge 12V or 24V battery systems.
For 12 Volt Battery Setup: Solar Panel Voltage Vmax input range is 20V to 150V dc.
For 24 Volt Battery Setup: Solar Panel Voltage Vmax input range is 40V to 150V dc.
