4 Cable Knit Dog Sweater Pattern!
Tired of sewing up seams after finishing a knitting project? Look no further. This sweater pattern is seamless! Also, does starting new working yarns - several times - throughout a project cause a feeling of dread? For the body of this sweater, you will start and end with the same working yarn!
This pattern is an original design. Let your small K-9 be the trendsetter for the neighborhood and trips both far and wide! And, while your little furry friend looks as cute as can be, they will also be sporting an outfit that is both warm and functional.
Knit from bottom to top. You will knit back and forth and then in the round.
There is no seam up the front of the chest!
You do not have to cut the working yarn throughout body of the sweater pattern - the yarn you start with is the working yarn you will finish the body of the sweater with!
Ribbing around leg and belly openings are the only points where you have to start a new working yarn. They are worked by picking up stitches after body has been completed.
Finishing is as simple as weaving in ends - There is no sewing!
This sweater is not just for show. It is anatomically designed so dogs can actually to do their business while wearing it. Males and females!
This pattern is for a smaller breed of dog.
The cables in this pattern make the finished garment extremely stretchy, allowing dogs with a 14" through 18" chest measurement to wear it comfortably.
Finished sweater measures: Length: 17", Chest 13", From top of neck to leg openings: 5", space between legs 2".
Miniature Schnauzer, Scottie, Jack Russell, Pug, etc. would look fabulous sporting a new sweater made from this pattern.
The dogs pictured are between 15 and 16 pounds. They are all Miniature Schnauzers. A slightly smaller or a slightly larger dog should do fine with this sweater.
For all of the sweaters pictured, I used worsted weight yarn. Wool yarn provides a luxuriously warm sweater!
