3M Speedglas 100 Welding Helmet Razor Dragon 07-0012-31RD, with ADF 100V, 1 EA/Case
3M Speedglas Razor Dragon Welding Helmet 100 with Auto Darkening Filter 100V helps provide eye and face protection for worker safety while welding. The helmet comes ready to use with a lens offering three sensitivity settings: 1) Normal for most types of welding both indoors and outdoors, 2) A setting for when other welders are working nearby, and 3) A setting for low-current or stable arc welding.
The Speedglas 100V lens also features five user-selectable dark shades, from shade 8 through shade 12, and a light shade of 3. The auto darkening filter quickly darkens after striking an arc to maintain optimal viewing. The auto darkening filter also reduces the need to flip the viewing lid, which can be stressful on the neck and a distraction while welding. The viewing area provides a field of view that allows the welder to see the work in progress with minimal obstruction. This welding helmet features aggressive-looking graphics with a fire-breathing dragon ripping metal with its sharp claws. Recommended welding applications include metal fabrication, assembly, mechanical and metal repair.
Welding helmets help protect the eyes and face in numerous ways. For starters, the helmet blocks welding sparks and spatter from reaching the eyes and face. The helmet also protects the eyes from exceptionally bright light and rapid changes in brightness, which can both stress and harm eyes. Without protection, eyes can be temporarily or permanently injured by the intensity of light produced by welding. Eyes also have difficulty adjusting to rapid brightness changes while welding in dark locations, which can be both a productivity and safety issue.

The helmet€s design allows for compatibility with select disposable welding respirators, including the 3M 8515, 8212, 8214, 8512, and 8514 Particulate Welding Respirators, to help provide respiratory protection for applications where metal fumes may be present.
