3D Modeling in Blender 2.61 (Premium Edition)

My name is Ole Holthe and I am the author of this introductory course in 3D modeling in Blender 2.61. I have been working with 3D graphics, multimedia and computer game technologies for the last 10 years.

This course provides an introduction to 3D modeling, lighting, animation and rendering in Blender 2.61. The course does not require any prior 3D modeling experience. This course is designed for anyone that has basic computer skills and that wish to learn 3D modeling with Blender. The course introduces basic 3D modeling concepts and shows how to create 3D models in Blender 2.61.

We will only use the Blender 2.61 software tool in this course. The tool is available for free at the Blender web site. You can use any 2.6x version of Blender.

This course uses the same presentation form that is common at universities/colleges for offering a highly efficient and qualitative educational experience. The DVD-ROM contains 15 classes, with 3D model examples. The overall goal of Geelix courses is to teach how to design and develop serious computer games and edutainment. The course has a short motivational part, in the introduction and at the end, that also encourages christian values in computer games. The course is only appropriate for adult students.
