This General Motors key will require cutting to match the locks on your car. This GM key has an electronic chip (transponder) built into the head of the key that is hidden in the plastic shape of the key. This key will not start your car until it is programmed into your cars computer system.
You must have at least one working Key in order to program the key yourself.

The first digit of your 17 digit VIN number must start with the number 1 or 4 in order to have it programed on your own
