Verso bears notes in an unidentified hand regarding the dog's owner refusing "an offer of 2,000 pounds or $10,000 in London the winter of 1889-90 while with the Barnum & Bailey Shows."
Measuring approximately 4.25 x 6.5, this Carte-de-visite is in overall fine condition, with remnants from previous mounting along the left edge.
