This is an original 1964 color tipped-in print of an example of Togidashi Maki-e style of art on a box from the Kamakura Period. The style entailed spraying gold powder and covering the design with lacquer. The box was from the Izumo Taisho Shrine in Shimane Prefecture, Japan and has an autumn scene on it.

Please note that there is printing on the reverse.
