This is a beautiful map of the ancient courses of the Mississippi River Valley prepared by Harold Fisk of LSU, 1944.

The map is printed using Epson Premium Semi-Matte paper. This type of paper has a very slight sheen, similar to vellum. The detail on the printed map is exquisite and shows specifics as small as fibers in the original. When framed behind glass, it is very difficult to tell that the map is a reprint.

Our maps originate from the National Archives, various federal archives as well as state and city historical archives here in the Pacific Northwest as well as our own collection of vintage and antique photographs and maps purchased directly from antique dealers. In addition, we have agreements to reproduce privately held items. In most cases we scan the photographs, maps or negatives at 800+dpi and produce a digital file that is used for reproducing prints.

Maps are rolled and placed in a protective plastic sleeve and then into a rigid tube that is of a larger diameter than the sleeve. This ensures that an impact to the tube will not be transferred to the image. Maps may ship via USPS First Class Mail.
