1911 Front Sight Installation and Removal Tool

This tool is for the original Colt / GI front sights that swage down into the slide, it is NOT for use with the later aftermarket dovetail sights and slides. The press bar is designed for original GI curved sites, to install aftermarket site requires fitting to press bar to match the press area of the particular sight. Unlike other tools which use a hammer and can slip and dent the slide, this tool works by pushing the front sight in and out of the sight slot by leverage, so no hammering is needed with this tool.
