The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F/A18E/F Super Hornet is a supersonic carriercapable fighter/attack aircraft. It is a larger and more advanced derivative of the F/A18C/D Hornet. The Super Hornet entered service with the U.S. Navy in 1999, replacing the F14 Tomcat since 2006 and will serve alongside the original Hornet. In 2007, the Royal Australian Air Force ordered Super Hornets to replace its aging F111 fleet.This U.S. F/A18F Super Hornet is part of Forces Of Valors Bravo Team series. The 172 scale plastic aircraft is approximately 10 inches long and has a wingspan of approximately 7 inches.
