12" Square Vermiculite Board - 2 Pack

Versatile vermiculite boards can be cut and sanded just like wood. Boards are extremely heat resistant (up to 2012º F) and have many applications. The combination of rigidity and resistance to heat makes vermiculite board excellent for this application. Set of two 12" x 12" boards, 1" thick.

Applications for use:

  • Use to build a reusable mold box for casting
  • Use as kiln shelving
  • Use for back up kiln insulation
  • Use to create custom molds like drop rings
Tip: Support the board well with short kiln posts and use fiber paper on top of the board to prevent sticking.
