Kawashima Steel, forged by hand in Japan, with clay tempered Harmon. You can see the randomized pattern on the blade formed during the forging process and clay tempering of the hamon (edge).
Uzume (Ama-no-Uzume), according to the Japanese Shinto legends, is the Goddess of dawn. Uzume once was believed to have kept the sun from rising, enacting revenge on Susano'o during a quarrel. Later, Uzume was associated with the Japanese phrase Land of the Rising Sun, and also worshiped by Hondo (rice farmers).
This is a very well balanced and fully functional sword. Suitable for Tameshigiri, and practice cutting, etc. It can be disassembled and re-assembled. If used for cutting, buyer assumes all liability.
